Gold wheels

Got bored so I painted the wheels gold using rubber paint, still at the curing stage at the moment but I'll post up pics tomorrow. If it looks good then I'll be getting them powder coated if not then I'll be doing a lot of peeling.

Well happy with the look, going to powder coat them during the winter.

Thanks for the comments guys. I only painted them because (a) I couldn't
get the colour right on photoshop so I thought it would be easier to test by painting them and (b) I've always wanted gold wheels but never had the right bike for it. When I've got a few days spare I'm going to try something with the fairing which did look really good in photoshop.

Yeah I was thinking the gold renthal bar might be a good addition.
I wonder if the holes on the bar would line up ok if I bought direct from Renthal.

Ackack: The gold wheels look good, but some anodized wheels would match the forks.

Well done! is the surface nice and smooth? Won't they peel somewhat during the riding season?
