Thanks for posting this Dekker, the new S1000 is sexy and powerful!! Godamn i want one lol, i know there are more powerful bikes out there, but unless one plans on racing then there is no need for more horses/torque, and the above figures are very respectable, she will be fast!.

Max [email protected] 9500rpm!!!! Only 500rpm before max power!!!. What will the rev limit be?

Edit Jan 7th.
Motor Cycle News in UK state max torque @ 8250rpm est,
which sounds more reasonable.

Can we trust them though? They already had the dubious price posted, how do those figures compare with the Gixxer 1000?

I would say the official figure from Suzuki UK is more likely to be correct. Plus it ties in with the hp/torque equation...hp=(torque x rpm) / 5252
141 hp from 78 lb ft torque at 9500 rpm....close to the 143 hp listed.

The figures are official, except they weren't supposed to be released at this time! https://www.gsxs1000.org/forum/gsxs-1...html#post31946

got to love when those glitches happen
unless it wasn't a real glitch and was meant to happen with intention.
