Paint chipped.

Arrgh!
I've put a small paint chip in my tank.
Any miracle products out there or other suggestions?
TIA

Mattnz, Dang it, I just did the same thing today on my return from Canyon Lake. I've been procrastinating over having that 3M-type film paint protector put on, but can't decide how much to spend. Check out protectashield.com--maybe someone local carries an equivalent. It worked ok on my old bmer. It comes in different thicknesses and I did the nose, tank, fairing in the thin stuff and a thicker type for the leading face of the belly pan. This also is referred to as "rotor tape" as it was used on the leading edge of helicopter rotor blades.

Anyway the owner (Matt at 480-874-9300--no affiliation I just happened to keep his card) said it might be up to $500 for entire bike depending on time to cut film, or just a tank only was around $175. Still deciding.

I already have 3m ventureshield installed. Typically the chip is right next to where the ventureshield stops.
2mm lower and it wouldn't have happened.
I'm looking for a way to fix it without having the whole tank resprayed.
