Rear brake reservoir

Just a quick heads up everyone to check the rear brake reservoir as my cover was slightly loose and I had a light film of fluid around the reservoir and as air was obviously getting in the fluid was dark brown so I put new fluid in.
It was a bit of a bugger to get access to as you have to remove the plastic below the tank and pop a couple of studs out of the rear panel to unbolt the reservoir to undo/tighten screws.

That cap is vented. Its not supposed to seal 100%. For sure, smart to check it and change fluid, but dont treat it as something thats 100% sealed.

I appreciate that but the lid had movement in all directions and the screws were tightened quite a bit. The seal between gasket and reservoir were not sealed causing fluid out and air/moisture in.
