Replacement of Rear Suspension

Has anyone replaced the rear suspension unit with an after market unit ?
What did you get and would you recommend them ?

I went with a Nitron unit with remote reservoir for compression adjustment. Very happy with the results. Getting it set for my weight and riding style obviously made the biggest difference, but even the difference a single click of adjustment makes is far more noticeable. Very happy. I also splurged and got Nitron internals installed into my forks so everything is now perfect. Damping is out of this world and she holds a line like she's on a Scalextric track.

Installation was simple as well, as was getting my rider sag setup.

You can order direct from the Nitron site too.

One thing I would suggest - If you carry a pillion, getting the remote preload adjuster is very handy. I used to commute with the missus on the back of my 'Busa and being able to set it for that, then on the weekend a couple of quick turns to get it set back for me alone was a nice convenience. Didn't get it for the GSXS as she's got her own wheels now. I've set it once for the road, will most likely set it differently for the track, and that is the only time I'll need to fiddle with that. Well, apart from over the Christmas break when I try to put on 10kg.

I got the nitron ntr1 and it was a doddle to fit. Had it on an abba superbike stand and undone the torsion linkage before lifting the back wheel up to the undertray. Then you can undo the shock bolts and it drops out ready for the new one to go in.
All these posts I am putting about Nitron, I should be on their payroll! :-D
