I use a duct temp gage the HVAC repair guys use to test air duct temperature--the ones with the little round face and a long stem. I think you can find them at a big box store like Home Depot. I just hose clamped it to my left front fork by triple tree. Works ok, its cheap, and tough (2nd bike I've used it on).
This one is small enough to stick pretty much anywhere with a little double sided tape. And if you lose it while riding who cares since its only like 2 bucks.

I did a Google search for 'motorcycle thermometer' and it gave a lot of good results. I'm not trying to be an a$$ - I just thought 'thermometer' might distinguish outside air temp from something like intake air temp.
I searched thermometer and temp gauge with many permutations. I just couldn't find a small cheap stick on digital one.
I found the one's from Marlin's (which I own), and Formotion (which I used to own), and Koso (which make some nice ones, but they start at $40). So... Blood Simple's link was more along the lines of what I was looking for.
Whats annoying is according to Suzuki it has an ambient temperature gauge, but it doesnt. I spoke to Suzuki ages ago and asked them to update their website....but they still havent.
I like to know when I'm freezing or cooking my arse off. ...and yes, it would be nice to know tranny temp and coolant temp, but I'll let the ecu tell me when those are cooking their arses off.
