Brake and Clutch lever replacements for small hands
I find that the brake and clutch levers sit too far away from my hand. I replaced the originals with some ebay adjustable ones but find that I can't adjust them towards the bars much as there is a need for quite a lot of travel to operate the levers, especially the clutch. I am a lady have small hands so I want the levers close to the bar but obviously still working well. Can anyone help me out with some advice? Is there a brand of aftermarket levers that would fix this issue for me? I also find the clutch quite stiff and it would be really nice if it was softer but I have learnt to change gears without using it a lot of the time since breaking my thumb a few months back after hitting a wombat whilst dirt bike riding. I am also not made of money so less expensive fixes would be appreciated if there are any. Jo
A wombat you say? I have no personal experience with any of them, but try searching for "one finger levers". I know them from the stunt riders who say they make clutch pull much easier, it seems off roaders use them also.
Hi i fitted evotech shorty levers they work great for a smoother clutch you can fit a slinky glide cable but as with most quality products they are not cheap. From my experience a lot of the cheaper levers off the internet can cause problems with the clutch lever on these bikes hope this helps
I am using ASV levers version C5. They have alot of adjustment! 180 increments and up to 4 inches according to their website. So think you would be able to set them up to your individual needs. I really like mine. Don’t think it changed the amount of effort it took to pull the clutch. Mine are full length levers.
