Carbon Question....

Just purchased some carbon pieces, when i have looked at the front mudguard there seems to be 4 rivets/2 per side holding hoses in place..no my.question is if i were to re-rivet them on the carbon mudguard it would most prob crack and split????.....any ideas...yeah maybe small bolts???.

If you drill a clean hole it will be ok. I have drilled through carbon heat shield and all good. Some carbon slip-ons have the mounting bracket riveted to the muffler body. Strong material!

Its all pre drilled....but the rivet when it expands could possibly crack it???......

You will have to make sure the hole is the correct size and use the correct size rivet. No problems.

The rivet does not expand laterally internally, it expands outside the material.
