The Ultimate Slip-On, cont...

Well guys, as some of you may know I have been through a few Slip-ons. First the Yosh Alpha (sold here), then the first Akra (sold here), then the Delkevic (still have it), then the Leovince LV-10 Titanium (sold here), then the latest Akrapovic model (still have it, might sell) and now ...

The other day I was messing around in the garage and found my old Hindle 315mm Slip-on I had stored, and was able to mount it up on the GSXS. I immediately noticed the bike had increased performance and felt "smoother". Apparently a longer exhaust does have it's benefits with increased flow and scavanging. If you notice, all World Superbikes, Supersport, Moto 2 and Moto America race bikes have long conventional exhausts.

My search has been for a combination of best looks, sound and performance. But after all these "shorty" Slip-ons, and now with my new Arrow Race Tech carbon, it is apparent that the good 'ol standard longer Slip-on still works the best!

I have a Dano's flash (have added 3% more fuel from his initial flash for my custom headers), and with this longer Arrow, the bike absolutely runs the best of all.

The quality of this Arrow Race Tech carbon is top notch, and as another Forum member stated, the longer exhaust does give the GSXS a more "balanced" look. I could be at the end of the road!

Yes, came with a removable baffle, held in by a "C" clip (you can see the groove on the inside of the exhaust exit). Removed it as soon as it came out of the box! Idle is 90% perfect.

Same effect with intake runners too. Short runners = better HP up top, longer runners = better TQ down low.

Rapido1 : This site's largest importer and reseller of exhaust pipes. I think you need a vendor account at this point sir.

2AF8CB22-842C-4417-89B7-C06C4780005E.jpgI catch some crap for my holeshot 14” can looking old fashioned, but I think the GSXS is kinda ugly anyway. So I just comfort myself with how well it performs. I have never had many of the problem others have had, and my bike is smooth and very powerful. Third gear power wheelies at triple digit speeds, it’s a fun bike! I love it. I even appreciate its looks now! (A little) it’s the mechanical beauty of it I love. The little extensions on the muffler hanger are black now, and don’t look so obvious
