I am amazed these bikes didn't sell well. But, I've almost got mine set up the way I want it. For me its a perfect fit.

These things are brilliant, the power, torque and acceleration are exhilarating, bit of work to sort the suspension and you've got a great bike

I agree. It's a fantastic bike! So versatile, fun and can be as thrill inducing as I need. I wonder if the Katana will sell better?

I think the Katana will be a niche bike... i'm predicting it will fail miserably. I hope i'm wrong though.

IMO it likely goes back to the original models having a well-publicized (by the initial reviews) throttle snatch. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that many potential buyers decided that the combination of on-off throttle and strong engine was just more of a combined handful than they were willing to wrestle with in traffic.

IMO the throttle snatch hurt initial buyer impressions, and by the time Suzuki finally got a handle on it (three years later) the damage to the bike's reputation had already been set in stone.

I agree OJB...fix the throttle put a decent rear shock on it and advertise it.....the bike is bad ass, the rest will take care of itself. I love this bike after the mods I've done...power, handles like an R and looks like a beast ready to pounce :-)

I agree totally.
Iíve been on a Katana and in my opinion it has a better riding position and a slightly sportier feel to it. You are a little more lent forward and the foot pegs feel a little further back, probably induced by the higher seat. It gives you more of a feeling of being on the bike as opposed to being in the bike. I like it but that tiny tank range is a show stopper for me.

I don't think any bikes are selling well right now. Kawasakis Z900 are selling for $6500, saw one for $6295...yes a 2019! Yamaha Mt-09 selling for 7000-7500.

It seems the younger generation is more into cell phones than motorcycles.
