Black magic yoshi R11 can with yoshi headers everytime.....wish i got the black can instead of polished one....but still sounds unreal when its singing in 2nd gear! 😁
I have the M4 can and it sounds cool but zero performance gain. You would get more out of tuning the stock setup. Full M4 exhaust can provide 10-20 bhp and fill in the torque dip inherent in the stock system. If that's what you're after.
Lextek in the UK do a full stainless system very similar to the arrow system. Its had good results in the UK. They might becworth contacting. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at the price and build quality .
Problem with the Arrow headers is the midrange dip in power. Arrows are basically a "4 into 1" design. Good for top end, but the M4's have the longer secondary pipes "4 into 2 into 1" that boost midrange reducing the dip. I have owned the Arrows.
Opposite experience here. Full Arrow system with Dale Walker’s Holeshot tune. My bike flies with power building from 3,500rpm and just screams from 7,000rpm.
i tickled pink with my 138 hp in stock form ,,,,i know they say 145... i believe its its closer to 138 other stock runs i seen where in the high 130s those are the ones i believe
Here are my stats with the yoshi...i ha e just had it mapped at P3 but was mapped elsewhere beforehand...both had full yoshi system on..just had k+n put in too at P3
Yes of course it “screams”! Bike is an animal. This motor is a beast above 7,000 rpm, but the weakness is between 3,500 and 7,000 rpm. Unless you have experienced both types of headers, you have nothing to compare to.
Haven’t compared them against each other, no. But compared to the stock headers, there was no drop in power, just an aggressive, continuous build until 7,000. Then, catapult release.
A new exhaust system and remap will be my winter project, currently considering the Lextek option as its good value and a YouTube guy did a review and the finish and quality were well up to scratch. Plus it gives many tailpipe options and being an old school 90s type of guy the carbon silencer is my kinda thing.
