New guy from tennessee, USA

Hi to all!
I am very much looking forward to the arrival of these beauties in the USA. I currently have a 1200 Bandit and an FZ09. We are blessed with many good twisties in this area, which is my "cup a' tea". The FZ09 is a blast, but too many mods are needed to ride it quick. The Bandit is a great bike...much more comfortable than the '09....but not as quick or responsive. The new Suzi should be the best of both worlds, and at 76, I don't know how many more years I will be able to ride the way I want to. The future is now!

Welcome stillkickin. I like the same "cup of tea" as you, plus you got me beat by 2 years in the age race.

Hello

Couldn't agree with you more about the FZ-09, had one myself. With the price of the mods it equaled a
GSX-R750, which is what I traded my FZ-09 in for.

I too am excited about this new 1K, for me, this will be an all day bike. My 750 for the track or riding around locally.

76! Hope I'm still rippin' around

welcome to the forum I showed your post to my dad he is 63 this year and is worried he is to old to ride his GSR 600. I told him to stop complaining and start enjoying the rides age is a state of mind anyways. He has not been on his bike much since i sold mine as i usually take him out with me. Lets hope the "F" version finally arrives sometime soon i have had no less than 3 delivery dates and still no sign of it.

Great Smokey Mountains, Martin. Just 50 miles from the "Tail of the Dragon". If you've not heard of it, check out Youtube. 318 curves in 11 miles. Almost all on camber turns. An absolute blast to ride!
Thanks to all for the kind comments.
Mythic, please tell your dad that unless there are physical ailments that prevent him from riding, there is no reason to quit. I am blessed with very quick reflexes and good peripheral vision for my age, so that's half of the battle.
