Cool Is the GSXS 1000 the best ever

I got the dealer to deliver my 1st bike back in 1969 . Why ? Because i didn't know how to ride a motorbike. Many bikes and many miles later my doctor told me to give up bikes as my back was buggared. Not an option I said.
He said give up sports bikes and sit up straight. All the the sit up and beg bikes were either too expensive or too ugly , or too boring. Then suzuki came up with the GSXS. Bought the red and black one one sight unseen and couldn't be happier. I ride on the local super bike track in WA, once or twice a month and even though I haven't learnt to ride this new style of bike yet I know for a fact this is the quickest bike I have ever ridden . And in 46 years of riding I have ridden a lot of bikes. Value for money and yee haa factor 10 out of 10 thank you suzuki. As for looks it leaves the others for dead.
Shame about the weird fuelling but am learning to ride around it. Am hoping a remap down the track will solve it.

Good man.. I'm in the same boat, bodies worn out!
I'm sure a tune or remap will fix all this throttle talk.

There seem to be quite a few of us from Perth on here. Maybe our own thread, and maybe organise a catch-up somewhere?

I do believe the bike is being well received by the demographic group targeted.

If you mean portly older gentlemen that love the Gixxer, but not the pain it causes our lower backs and unwilling to give the fun of sports riding for the old cruising armchair?
Sounds about right.

Well it's pretty darned good, that's for sure! I gave up my Blackbird 6 years ago due to aching wrists and stuffed knees and had a Street Triple until last month. Light, fast and suited an ageing shortarse perfectly. Got fed up waiting for the rumoured 800 Triple and bought the Suzuki almost on a whim for my 68th birthday. Really glad I did!

Looking forward to growing older disgracefully
