All puns aside, I saw a few videos of the GSXS1000 (the one from PowerDrift is my fav!) and decided to go for a demo...the next thing I know it's parked in my carport.
Coming off a 2013 Yamaha FZ8, I wanted to stick with the naked and comfortable riding positions and the S1000 was the perfect fit. I NEVER buy brand new....until now.
It's still raining here in Vancouver, BC so I've only been out a couple days so far but spring is coming!
Only have the fly screen and tank protector so far, looking for clean looking sliders and maybe to pick up some nice looking soft saddle bags (had the sw-motech Blaze system on the FZ8) - any other suggestions/ideas? Must haves??
That's a very clean tail bag. I still have the Ogio tail bag
(Motorcycle Tail Bag | OGIO Moto Bags) and I really liked the Sw-Motech Blaze bags for my old FZ8...I wish I could just buy the new stabilizers instead of having to buy the whole kit again.
Very nice Ripe.. Congrats. Love the gray. If it was available in the F model here in the states, I would have it.
Buying new has it's advantages. Sure it costs more but you know the bike hasn't been roughed up, dropped, crashed or ill-maintained. It's prefect right out of chute and a warranty is nice too.
I opt for a nice tail bag instead of saddle bags. The nice thing I like about the Qbag is that it's not littered with grab handles, mesh pockets, and several feet worth of tie down straps wrapped all around the bike. It's the neatest tidiest hard-case looking tailpack out there..in my opinion of course.

Welcome from SF. Just picked mine up yesterday...I too, am coming from a Yammie (FZ-09)...well, I still have it sitting in the garage. The Zook is an awesome bike for sure. Loved the FZ but time to bid her adieu.
Me too. Bought mine in September but left it on the shelf for the Winter. I got other bikes to ride when the roads are nasty.Hoping for some good weather soon.
