Hi from Cheshire,UK.

Hi guys !
Recently stumbled across the forum and thought I should introduce myself.
I bought my bike at the beginning of July 2015 on the first shipment to Bill Smiths in Chester. I only use it in dry weather as I did with my 1000 K7 before this 1000S naked. I laid it up for winter after it's first service in October until April this year. I used it for a couple of times and noticed that the headlamp was beginning to melt. A friend works for Millenium motorcycles and said to bring it over for a technician to check over. They agreed it still had the genuine bulb installed and should be covered by the warranty.
2 weeks later I get a call to say the claim had been rejected, so after e-mails and phone calls to Suzuki customer service, I was informed that their technician believed that I must have had a jacket over the headlight whilst on ,as this would be the only cause of the failure! I requested a call back from someone higher as I didn't like what they were inferring- I too am a Technician with 36 years experience and there was no way I would do something so stupid! Well I didn't get a call back, so I phoned again this week and after explaining my story again and being put on hold for 10 minutes, I got a reply that I would get an offer of good will but not a replacement under warranty. Needless to say somewhat miffed- Plus don't get me started on the snatchy/jerky low speed issues, how can they sell something with such problems!

Mark.

Hi sparky,
Welcome to the forum,
I have heard a few bad things to do with warranty claims, fingers crossed I don't have anything bad happen.
Hope you get it sorted!

Welcome from Florida USA. I am not sure why but my throttle improved with use. Not perfect but a lot better. Good luck

Better be careful Sparky. There are a few people on this forum that will say it's all in your mind or that you just don't know how to ride. Although I have improved the throttle on my bike with a Throttle Tamer and a PCV, it's still not as good as I would like. You and I both have early production bikes and it seems as though I don't hear (on the forum) as many complaints from owners of more recently produced bikes. I'm beginning to wonder if Suzuki has modified the fuel map in later models. It's not uncommon for manufacturers of anything to made modifications of a product as issues become known once the product is in the hands of the public.

Welcome to the forum!
I am one of the newer owners and have zero throttle issues. Tried 2 newer S1000's and both were smooth as butter.
Hope all of your issues get resolved properly!
