Hope you like this bike as much as i have (and many others ). Am at (2016 F) 62k miles without any type of issues (have a previous 47k review/first post). At the beginning due to the touchy snatchy throttle , just stiffened it and that was good enough for me (it has made me a more relaxed rider, especially lane splitting on some real bumpy crappy roads).

Did go to a 55 (vs. 50), and did the clutch plates ( did ride her pretty hard many times /have a post with photos).

Portugal sure is a beautiful country ( nice beaches specially all the photos that have seen of Algarve).

Happy trails!

Cager on two wheels (Portuguese) review helped me make my decision to getting the bike two years ago. Still going strong and well.

Seja Bem Vindo Amigo. Eu estive la por dois anos e tenho saudades das pasteis de natas e tambem dos caracois. O GSXS 1000 'e um moto divertido! Onde 'e que voce mora? Qual cor 'e o teu moto?

I have this bike for about 5 months ago and just started to do some changes (DNA air filter, Akrapovic muffler, lowered Hyperpro springs front and back, windshield, Hel braided break hoses). Used to ride a 675 sTriple but despite being a nice ride I felt lack of grunt with it. I knew about the "known issues" but did go for it nevertheless. I did like the Cager review too.
Right now I am waiting for a PCV with auto-tune and maybe a IRC quickshifter. In the future who knows, a new ECU unit to flash...

Good, very good changes. You will see that you will be satisfied, especially the IRC quickshifter because I know them very well. The only advice I would give you is to save the PCV money and invest it in ecu reflash.
