Talking Fresh From the Dragon

Howdy y'all, bought a used (4000mi) 2016 GSXS 1000F the week before Memorial Day to replace my 2015 Harley Davidson Street 750 (from 0 to 23,000 miles it was always a hunk of junk). Literally a week later she had 2,000 new miles after taking her to Deal's Gap with my family and friends. So far an amazing bike even in the rain.

Current plans for her: 1 replacement swing-arm spools (one flew off on my trip) 2 Integrated tail light 3 Flush mount turn signals 4 Fender eliminator 5 Custom Halo/projector/LED headlights (I find the stock ones a little lacking after my LED aftermarket one on my Harley) 6 Exhaust and tune? 7 Properly set up suspension (it's waaaay better than the Harley but wanna dial it in) 8 Saddlebag supports (I have a set of OGIO saddlebags and tail bag)

All in all I'm loving it so far, comfortable cruising on the highway for the 20 mile commute every morning while a **** of a lot of fun to open up whenever I'm in Mexico.

Man I'm jealous. Ran the dragon on my DRZSM a few years ago, I need to get back to the mountains with the GSX-S.

Sadly It was pouring rain the whole time we were up there. Riding a new bike with triple the power of my old one in a freezing soaked cloud was nerve racking but this thing is a docile beast.

Awesome report, and awesome way to start out with your GSX-S1000F! I'm loving mine and have had it on a lot of the great twisty routes around here, but nothing so famous. I'm glad you're enjoying it and I consider mine a pretty docile beast too.

Custom Projector Headlights, just done some more work on mine after a small crash that broke the headlight. Quad HID projectors (separately switched) Halos, DRL and flowing indicators - I think it looks cool and so much brighter and better beam than standard. Also gets rid of the 1 bulb blown look the F has as standard

How much did that set ya back and or do you have a parts list? That's gorgeous looking and almost exactly what I was thinking/looking for.

I haven't worked out a total price but it wasn't very expensive, did most of the work myself.

Have a look below for more details and I've just added Ebay links to the parts, I purchased most parts locally but these look to be the same
