Hi I’m dru from Suffolk uk and I’m seriously considering this bike as my next purchase. I have had a heavily modded 95 blade,tl1000s,currently ride a heavily modded vtr1000s at the moment. Are there any known problems,or mods that need to be done to this bike as on paper it looks like a serious bit of kit and the perfect tool to play with my brother in laws 12 z1000. Thanks

Its a great bike, faster than a z1000!!

Only real problems are snatchy throttle on some but not all bikes, plenty of ways to eliminate or reduce this problem, cheap rear shock and poor front brake pads - all easily fixed.

Strongly recommend it, fantastic bike

if you like a capable allrounder that lends itself to mods, and pays dividends when you do, im sure youll find it a great option, its a pretty good bike stock, has a good riding position and excellent handling chasis, as paul said only a few things deserve to have been upgraded standard

I'm very happy with mine completely stock. I've done a few small cosmetic things, adjusted the suspension, and it's great.

If you're coming off a VTR you won't even notice the vibrations on this
You'll just think it's silky smooth and effortless to ride in comparrison. The only thing youll have to get used to is listening to the revs screaming. MY VTR was doing 80 at 4000. This is only doing 60 at 4000. You also have twice the tank range for pratically the same cost and nearly half as much power. It's a hoot but big wide bars, so go steady when you first start commuting. Transit van mirrors are not your friend!
