mike d Welcome. To get another view of speed, you could always buy a GPS, (maybe a small bicycle type unit) and mount it up higher?
The plus side is that it would be more accurate too.

Fat Pat Replace the exhaust and you can hear the speed instead of looking down

dekker Welcome edster, I find the gauges not too easy to see especially in bright light, but I wear glasses for distance vision which are not good for close up. Did you know that you can alter the brightness of the screen ? It's that mode where little squares appear at the bottom.

RobertO Welcome aboard edster. .. Gages are not an issue with mine ...Just a brief glance is all it takes for me ....otherwise I just sorta flow with traffic in town. Once you learn the indicators of all of the settings , a brief glance there also tells me all I need to know. Otherwise my eyes remain peeled on all of the cell phone junkies.

just joined the family

just pick up my new GSX s1000 today 150 mls of break in so far back out after a bite to eat. love in it can't wait to get this break in compleat so I can feel the power. one thing though the gauges position have to take my eyes off the road to see how fast I'm going, any advice to remedy this.
