Welcome. To get another view of speed, you could always buy a GPS, (maybe a small bicycle type unit) and mount it up higher?
The plus side is that it would be more accurate too.

|dekker||Welcome edster, I find the gauges not too easy to see especially in bright light, but I wear glasses for distance vision which are not good for close up. Did you know that you can alter the brightness of the screen ? It's that mode where little squares appear at the bottom.|

|RobertO||Welcome aboard edster. .. Gages are not an issue with mine ...Just a brief glance is all it takes for me ....otherwise I just sorta flow with traffic in town. Once you learn the indicators of all of the settings , a brief glance there also tells me all I need to know. Otherwise my eyes remain peeled on all of the cell phone junkies.|

just pick up my new GSX s1000 today 150 mls of break in so far back out after a bite to eat. love in it can't wait to get this break in compleat so I can feel the power. one thing though the gauges position have to take my eyes off the road to see how fast I'm going, any advice to remedy this.
