In stock form just altering the maps will not offer you much in the way of performance or differences. We're talking minute changes to the air fuel mix. In conjunction with mods your more likely to see significant gains...

Dawg It'll be interesting to see what a device like that will do to the GSXS 1000. I want to be able to test drive the bike using a bunch of different maps to just see what all the differences are.

Ginger I've said in another thread, clipons/clubmans and pegs. However that stuff is fairly universal. Exhausts are on the list as well, but secondary to ergonomics, might consider a Power Commander as well, but we're talking well out at this point...

Ginger thats what I mean though, if componenets are shared with GSXR then it reduces the risk for aftermakret meaning more parts

Having good aftermarkets support does help, it keeps things interesting.

True, but Suzuki doesn't control the aftermarket right, its more damaging for them to completely redesign a bike to inconveneice the aftermarket. The costs involved far outweight the benefits, and besides they want to keep the aftermarket happy, it keeps their clients happy...
