Your Local Ride Videos

One of the things I like about forums such as this, is that I get to chat to people from all over the world, who all like the same thing that I do. As I've not yet had the chance to travel extensively myself, I'm keen to see videos of your local countryside - the places you like to ride.

Yesterday, I had to travel to a friends place in the Perth Hills. I decided to take the bike and my 9-year-old son, and go the scenic route. The map link below shows the area, specifically the Mundaring Weir Road.

Here's the video. It's pretty boring (you may want to FF to the 6-minute mark, as the best part of the trip is around the weir itself) as the road is restricted to 60-70Kmh and is patrolled regularly, especially this time of year. Also, I tend to behave with my young pillion on-board (for safety reasons, and also because he'd go straight home and tell his mum).

Nice video. Respect the "slow" ride because of the younf fella etc. I can imagine the twistie bits will be a bit more fun going a bit faster.

I am hoping to get me a GoPro so I can video my dad and myself when we go riding in the twisties. And I'll put some videos up here.

Nice video Rod. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for you to pass those last two bikes. I'll bet, if you had not had a passenger, you would have passed those guys so fast it would have sucked their helmets off. It bothered me a little that you were on the wrong side of the road for the whole ride.

Looked like a great ride Matdaddy. Nice video. I noticed that you have mirrors mounted on the bar ends. What brand are they and are they solid or do you get more vibration than with the stock mirrors?
