You got 9000 miles from the rear tire (S21) on this bike? How is that even possible? Do you just ride around inside shopping malls on the nice, tile floors?

I'd be thrilled to get 5000 miles from a rear tire on this bike. I must be doing something wrong. Or S21's are made of titanium?
Seriously, that's a lot of miles from a set of tires on a sportbike. Impressive.

Oh, wait, this is an oil thread now: SHELL ROTELLA T6 oil! (and I even replace the drain plug washer...that'll stir things up on here.)

I have an S21, and I am gonna be at 4500-4700 when I change it very soon. I was really happy with that! I’m rough on rear tires though. Gonna go back with the new S22 in 190/55.

4-5k is a decent expectation from a rear s21, no idea how stock gets that mileage. I think I'm in the 8k range on my front s21 and it's nearly a slick. He must launch softly and use tc3.

Interested to hear also. Doesn't make a lot of sense compared to every review I've ever read on the S20/S21/S22. I have a set of unmounted S22s waiting to go on right now. I should get 20K miles out of those, right?

That's the ticket! Cheap oil in the bike = short tire life. I should be getting a lot more miles from my rubber now that I'm running the Shell synthetic. Whew...problem solved.

I've gotten 10k miles so far out of my Michelin Pr4s and that's with Trac off and the back sliding around all the time from hard take offs. However, no curvy roads here, so the bike mainly rides on the harder compound of the tire center.
