i thought it was the best bike i ever owned .... i enjoyed the plush ride,, seat took a little bit getting use to but after a month my axx got use to it....motor gearing work great at highway speeds always had a hotrod feel to me....1st dr got stolen was found couple hundred yards away....because factory steering lock was snapped wouldent lock anymore it was totaled ...insurance paid me full price of what i paid so i bought another one,,,,, you will have a blast riding the dr

just ordered my second set of bridgestone 1st where s21 in a 55 , taking off at 11000 miles ,still not to wear bar but close.....s22 on the way in a 50....i can see why people love the 55, i never corned like i did with the 55 in all the years of riding ,, was going around turns faster then i should of been...so im backing off and not pushing my luck going back to 50...i figure im mostly highway and might as well be as stable as i can at above average highway speed $282.63 to my door

Let us know your impressions of the difference in the two profiles once you get them mounted.

Mike, did you end up getting a DR?
Never mind...just saw another thread where you got a 650 V-strom. I had a 2013 also, great bike, would buy one again. I got the V-strom 1000 because of a lust for more power, but wasn't as much more as I was hoping, so ended up with a GSXS, too.

Arn't those 22's more track focused tyres ? Meaning softer than the S21 general purpose design.
So perhaps you ARE fanging it harder and just being polite.

22s are supposed to be just an improved version with particular attention to wet traction. 21s always felt sketchy to me in cold/wet on corners, very happy to push the front and slide the rear.
I'd like to read your impression as well once you get some miles.
