Question Remove windshield

Hi All, I bought my '16 GSXS 1000 with two thousand Kms on the clock. Brilliant bike and I've done a few mods. It came with a windshield (very common on this sites pics) which does the job at high speed but for general squirts around town I would like to replace it with the original Suzuki front piece. The original owner went overseas and I can't contact him. What do you guys suggest? And how much will it set me back? In Perth West Australia. Thanks in advance.

Hey GaryB,
I'm assuming you have a "naked" model and want to ditch the fly screen?
If so, you'll need to remove the screen, then the plastic piece that was drilled to fit the screen will need to be replaced. That part is called the METER COVER (or in Suzuki world, Cover, Meter) Here is the OEM part #:
COVER, METER 51811-04K00
In the USA that part is about $22 from the dealer. Not sure how much it costs there on your large island.
Should be easy to replace though. Good luck!
