Default setting for me. I'm not good or cool enough to mess with it. If I did a track day on this bike, then (and only then) I'd mess with it. I can still get the rear to drift slightly on corner exit when I get hard on the gas and that is ALL the 'slip' I want.

If I didn't want traction control (or ABS) I would have just bought a used CBR929 or CBR954 (again.) But the safety measures are what drew me to this bike, as well as the riding position and power.

It is restricted (limited) by Suzuki. You could send your ECU to Danos Performance in California to be flashed. I believe that removes the top speed restriction.

190km is only 118mph. It shouldn't be hitting the speed limiter until much higher. Definitely something not right, although without more info and a better understanding of the rpm issue, I wouldn't know a good answer to tell you.

The top speed limiter only restricts a very small amount. You will still hit 240 or so. The 190km speed limiter I've read about here on the forum applies to bikes sold in some European countries.

As its an ECU restriction, a flash would be the only way to unlock it.

When life throws you curves, lean into them.

Based on the language of the post, I just made the assumption he wasn't from the USA and wherever he was from had a 'lower' restriction than we get. Probably shouldn't assume so much. But he said the bike runs fine...right until he hits 190km per hour. Seems like an electronic restriction. If it was something else (stuck exhaust valve) it would affect the bike in lower gears, at lower speeds and would be more rpm dependent. Not sure what else to say to help the guy without more info.

I recall someone posting about onerous speed limiters in some country, could be that
Edit: he does say he's at 13k rpm. He's only hitting that with a modded ECU. Zero chance you hit 13k in 6th at 190kph

I had forgot about that limiter on some bikes. If 190km is where it is, it sounds like that's what he has.
