So I called Woodcraft and they confirmed they have a set of clip-ons coming for the GSX-S this fall to winter. I think I might be the only looney on here that wants clip-ons but Incase anyone else is interested I thought I’d throw it out there.
Thanks for the heads up. I have the Renthal Fatbar Street Low on backorder but this is really tempting. I don't imagine clipons would be much lower though else wouldn't it hit the tank? Any pics?

No pics but they said to call back in a week or two for more details. The tank would be my big concern. Curious how high of risers you’d have to run to get a good compromise between low bars and tank clearance / turning radius. Almost wondering if a GSX-R tank would fit?

Any update? Renthal Fatbar Street Low rolled back to zero leaves just enough space to not squish the thumbs at full lock. All it needs is a little more sweep. Hoping these will do the trick.
hey everyone, i thought i would share that i contacted woodcraft and they are developing something, but not quite specific to the GSXS1000, but they are going to work with me to develop something for us. he is using me as the guinea pig for R&D purposes. they are going to send me some clipons and i will need to take pictures, check clearances etc. if any additional parts need to be made or anything they are going to send me the parts to make it work and come up with an end product
After doing some track days I actually have a difficult time getting comfortable hanging off the side of the bike due to the angle of the wrists. I have rizoma bars but still similar angle to stock bars. If they were angled back a little bit more I think it would make it much more comfortable but I’m not exactly the most “flexible” guy out there so maybe my old body is a problem Tank clearance would be a major problem with clip ons I would think. Let’s see what they come up with.
was a no go. they sent me regular clipons with 3 inch rise and all and they will NOT work with the F model. doesnt matter what type of clip on you have or rise or if the mount is at the side or in front, no clip on will work without hiting the tank or front fairing hard.
they were not interested in making a kit like they have with the FZ07 i think it is where an adapter plate bolts where the oem handle bar bolts onto.
Whatever you guys find, keep your stock bar. A few months of torture with clip-ons and you will be putting the stocker back on unless you enjoy back and wrist pain. Rear sets may help get the triangle better.....but at that point you are doing a GSXR conversion.....which is silly. You could just trade for a real GSXR and get a more aggressive riding position and lots more HP
I have a 2006 gsxr1000 and I find myself never wanting to ride it cause of the body position, I just got rear sets hopfully that fixes my peg dragging issue
I get sick of people telling me to trade for GSXR or some other bike. Why? I CANT because my area i live in wont allow me to insure a sport bike. I have the GSXS as a settlement offer as i had to trade in my ZX6R for a different bike they had in stock at the dealer..
I am young so i can handle the sport riding position for now lol. But oh well i am still very excited about the bike and im not going to cry having the oem bar but was just looking at options
You can't insure a sport bike? What is a gsxs then? Can't see how a gsxs is any safer than a gsxr. I thought the laws in Australia were odd at times 😁 Insurance isn't even required in Australia.
Not sure how much tbese pics help. But no matter how tbey are adjusted i couldnt get close to having full lock to lock steering without hitting tbe front cowl or the tank
Man i wish i lived in australia. Been eyeing it up for years! But they consider this bike as a touring bike and not a sport bike. We all know its DNA is sport bike but insurance doesnt consider it so yay for me haha
