Adding a new ignition key to the ECU?

Hi All,
A question to those in the UK/EU (or other regions with SAIS fitted): do you know how to add an ignition key to the ECU?
The owners handbook says take it to a dealer, oh and don't loose the spare key (helpful). I want to add a spare key to my ECU on my second hand GSX-S1000FAL6 and all I can find out about this subject so far is that an ECU can only have 4 keys logged in it before you have to buy another ECU.
Thanks for your help!
David

There is a procedure done in the dealer shop; steps in calibrating xcurrent rfid key, inserting blank new one; registering it with the ecu. Its a step by step process that i was not allowed to see.

Try this, insert your working key and turn the ignition on for roughly 10 seconds (don’t start the bike).

Turn it off, within 2 seconds insert the new key and turn ignition on for 10 seconds then off again. ( don’t start the bike)

Then try starting the bike.

You may have to do it a few times.

I had to do this when I changed ECU’s in my bike to get the keys to work. I called the dealer and he told me how to do it over the phone.
