Exhaust Silencer Box Removal

Had a local shop remove the silencer box and weld a link pipe. Not a fan of the finish so I want to put the heat shield back on. Any ideas on how to fabricate a piece for the shield to bolt onto? Is it possible if I have no welding skills?...ha. With the baffle in the m4 it is at the perfect decibel level for my personal tastes now.

im sure you could weld something somewhere, doesn't seem to hard a process. can you weld It directly to that pipe? looks thick enough. I'd weld pieces to the actual heat shield, trim them down to right length, and have someone hold it perfectly and just tack it down. lol idk. def 2 person job to me.
