This is going in X-TRE

Hopefully be even more of a wheelie machine with 16,46 gearing and a decat

Waste of money, sorry but you will be much better off with a reflash

The X-TRE will only give you a more responsive throttle below 25% Throttle in the first 3 gears, and cut the speed limit in 6th

As you have a decat you will get much more from a reflash for not much more money

ECU flash will come in winter when I get the kit to tune myself.
I truly do not see it as a waste of money as for me the seeing is believiing, I don't go on hearsay.
I enjoy trial by fire, if it works out for me on my bike great, if not no big deal as it's more then just a machine to ride.
Lifting top speed limiter was Paramount until I'm ready to drop the bux on the full tune kit rather then a reflash.
I'm the same on my automobiles to, mod and tune myself.
Im that way programmed.. drives the wife nuts but keeps me sane.
Safe riding
Cheers

OK then, enjoy

Just trying to point out that all the things that the X-TRE does will be done in the re-flash tune that you want to do your self

I'm with you, i like to experiment and do myself which is why I have the full woolich autotune for my bike (and I've flashed quite a few other Suzukis now)

If you are interested I can post exactly what the TRE will do for your bike

Sure..thanks , that will be cool, I'll report back how it compares and effects my set up also.
Do you only use autotune or physically tune the tables your self?
Safe riding.

I bought and used the X-TRE on my GSXS before flash-interface/software was available.
Mostly because a limiter is a "no-no" for me.

I did not feel the "effect" of "fooling" the ECU to think 4th was always in regarding STP-map.
Nor did I feel this when I used WRT/altered the STP-maps myself.

To shorten the gearing is the best for "butt-dyno-effect".
This is much more noticeable than 20HP+ from engine-mods and reflash.

2018 - Speed Triple S
2015 - GSX-S1000
2009 - B-King 1441

Safe riding.
I use autotune to get AFR readings but change them manually myself

TRE differences below

STP (secondary throttle plates)

Gear 1-5

Gear 6

The only difference between STO opening is above 10,400 RPM in 6th gear where the STPs close to 50% as a speed limiter

Ignition Advance

4-6th Gear

1-2nd Gear

1-2 and 3 to a lesser extent have less ignition advance that 4-6th gears but only at less than 30% Throttle and less 7000rpm, so makes no difference to full throttle, just response at low throttle openings

Nice info thanks.
Glad to see the throttle plate cut off was the reason with my short gearing I was stagnant in 6th with rpm to go lol. Timing to 7k may be useful for off throttle pop ups.
I'll take the low end timing but look forward to intterogating the .hex / .bin more in depth with regard to accurate fueling, more advance if it can take it on decent fuel and tweaking the throttle mapping etc etc.
I may get an EGT probe in place ..
I need to look into the flashing packages more, I need to access as many tables as possible and logging capability direct on bike would help to use some of the anaylitical, graphical software I have from tuning 4 wheel high boost applications 🙂
All good stuff here. The journey begins.
I'll report back my butt feel tomorrow when it's installed and I go for a rip.
Will be great then to compare with an initial supplied flash and variants of tweak until finished.
Stay safe.
PhuketPaul .. can you link me any relevant info you have and any info, pics on your machine.. cheers

Bking1441...
16,46 gearing on mine is mental, I did notice the vibration buzz more.. but hella fun.. just as mentioned before that top end limiter caused me problems.. not that I was flat out in 6th that often .. cough

Soo..... No more top speed limiting.. feels pretty nice low down in traffic, but WOT just as before but did get some rear slide action in second today.
Would I buy again In interim to full tune.. probably not TBH.. I'd go with out the ultimate top speed until limiter was removed via coding.
No regrets though, at least I know effect first hand on my bike so all good.
Cheers.
