Some insight on pricing from Motorcycle.com

Speaking of the V-Strom, Suzuki traditionally undercuts the competition price-wise, so we expect this one to be the Naked Bike for the Masses!, and to sell for at least a couple g’s less than the current model, $13,899 GSX-R1000. We’ll guess an $11,999 MSRP to match the Kawi Z1000.
Thats a fair assumption, however I'll do one better and say they can get to $10,999. If their goal is undercutting rivals at least. Ostensibly it should be more than possible, the GSXR 1000 is an old bike, its been well amortised, there should be no excuse for losing on price....

Good point. That would be a good thing to do to further better their chances.
Time will tell if they will do this or not.

Motorcycle.com is a reliable source for the most part... I have a feeling gsxs100 pricing will around what they mentioned it to be.
What ever it's priced at, it should undercut competition.
Now, looking more into what competition has their pricing like will help.
well you also have to figure its going to face down stream pressure from bikes like the FZ09, which is stupidly fantastic with its 3cyl...
Between 11k and 12k. It's hard to tell if they will undercut or match competitors' prices. They may want to show that they are just as good (and therefore just as expensive) as the competition in stead of undercutting them.
well lets look at the pool of potentials...

Yamaha FZ1: $10,790
Yamaha FZ09: $7,990
Honda CB1000R: $11,760
Kawasaki Z1000: $11,999
I stand by my former prediction: 11k to 12k.
under 10K sterlings predict some...

Please, please, please let 2014 be a good year for Suzuki, God knows it needs a break. The big news will be the naked GSX-R1000, or GSX-S1000 as it is being called. Expect traction control, ABS and a price tag below £10,000. Those wanting a new GSX-R model will be left disappointed, there may be a few basic tweaks, but that's about it. Another possibility is the GSX-R125, but again, this has been rumoured for so many years it seems unlikely to ever actually appear!
Well £10k is about $12k in American dollars. So that sounds pretty much in line with what we have been saying here too.
