I finally got around to adjusting my headlights (F model) and it was strangely difficult. I do have the shop manual and conceptually it is simple, but getting the proper socket wrench into the confined space without being able to see, while the handlebars have to be pointed just so, is difficult. And once I was able to get the wrench on there, the range of movement was tiny. However, doing it once makes it easy.
I used the 1/4 inch deep socket 8mm from this set I bought a few weeks earlier which unfortunately went up $100 or so since.

Both headlight (high beam and low beam) are apparently the same, and adjust in the same direction. Top right screw adjusts vertically, bottom left screw adjusts horizontally. I set the high and low beams to the same height, and crossed them slightly for more coverage, so I guess I technically no longer have high beams. I do a lot of night riding and find that having both beams on but pointed nearly parallel works best so long as the top cut-off is sharp enough as to not blind people in low cars.
