Mine smooth at 5k and higher, 10 secs or so of ticking on some warm starts and otherwise nothing.
As for oil pressure, watch the oil sightglass as you start up- see the level sucked down- all that is going thru the engine and up over the top end. If the oil pressure light isn't coming on then pressure is at least nominal. Not sure what the big deal is here.
At 900 miles now, only get a rattle for 15 secs or so on some warm/hot starts. I stuck at 6k for the first 600 miles mostly because I was commuting- went higher for a few moments a few times when road circumstances permitted it. 600 mile oil change showed no metal on the magnet.
