Yeah. That sounds bad. Sorry for that. By any chance, do you have a recording of the noise?

yes I have the recorded knocking on my phone that was sent to the powers of Suzuki etc but as they dont/want to recognise it, I had a bike that was worthless to anyone ! so its gone and I have moved on , Ive had Suzukis many from the dealer who supplied the GT !!!!? all to no avail so no more thanks . Ride on fellas rgds.

"Worthless to anyone" might be a bit strong...lol....but I share your frustration

Interesting thread. I just bought a GT+ but am waiting for the bags before I take it from the dealer. Can't ride now because of weather so who cares.

Anyways, I've had a few GSXRs ('02, '05, and '06) and they were all rattly/noisy. My last one, the 2006 GSX-R1000, was noisy from day one until I sold it a few years ago. Never had an issue with it. Unfortunately, this kid I sold it to was hit by a tractor trailer on it so that bike is no more which broke my heart. The kid only had minor injuries which was very lucky.

I wanted this bike because I loved the K5/K6 gixxers. This thing should be a comfy K5.

I finally got mine comfy the big wins were bar risers, moving the controls inward, rotating the bar back a bunch and drilling new holes to get the controls rotated better. Nicer rear shock and fork internals help a lot too.

I bought two GSX-S1000GT's (long story) and neither has made a cam chain noise after 1,800 km on each bike. I've sold the reflective blue bike now and kept the triton blue bike so I'll keep on listening for the noise but so far so good.
