Would such a thing exist for it?

Surely if you are only ever going to run on E85, then you get it remapped to run on it - with a proof on the dyno.

I guess you could run with more advance, but this advantage will be offset by needing to put more fuel in (ethanol has lower energy density)

To add I suppose you could run a powercommander [which allows switchable maps on the fly] and have it tuned in one map for E85, you'd just have to run the tank down, so there was very little of whichever fuel you were flipping over from E10>E85 or vice versa. At least it would prevent misfuelling.

Is E85 in widespread use in the states?

Yes, E85 is just about everywhere in the U.S. Sure, I might get 1 to 2 mpg less in fuel economy. But it's about $.50 cheaper, burns cleaner and makes more power.

At times, it's as much as $1 USD less per gallon at the Sheetz near me. Right now, it's only 50 cents less as the local Sheetz is only at $3.06 for premium.
