Bike is amazing. I’m going from a KTM 1290 Super Adventure. Like really really good.

I had the dealer install the Suzuki taller windshield and heated grips before I picked it up

it’s summer and hot so no report on the grips

The taller windshield is terrible for me. I’m 6’ tall. The buffeting is really bad. If I was 5’10” or shorter or 6’2” or taller it would be great. That said I’m switching back to the oem short windshield for the rest of the ride.

not a complaint since I always change out windscreens on every bike I’ve owned.

Thank you for posting info about the taller screen. I'm 6'4" and there is wind but no turbulance for me with original screen. Probably keeping the original, the wind makes me slow down a little bit Been riding 275 miles so far and agree with you, what an amazing bike.

Hi, where did you get the taller screen? I finally picked up my gsxs after waiting two months for a tiny (Puig “racing “?? screen) was all that was available at the time.

I had a similar experience (6'1) with the taller screens on the previous generation F model. The buffeting was simply too bad at interstate speeds.

BTW why did you choose choose the GSXS over the 1290 SA? I was very interested in the KTM but ended up buying a slightly used V-Strom (got a very good deal). The GSXS is awesome but not as comfortable as adventure bikes on longer trips.

Just something different. I have a touno, Desert sled and a few others. I think I wanted 17” wheels and more Road focused. I never took the 1290 SA off road. In my view my 500 Exc is too heavy lol. I grew up racing MX. So anything over 220 lbs is too heavy to me. But that’s me
