I want the grey but the Suzuki US site shows only the blue available. That will be sad.

Pic is not mine yet. Have to wait till end of August but this is the one for me. In Australia we get Blue or Grey.
Why don't all countries get all colours??

I know! We won't be getting the gray in the US, just blue and red. We will get the gray for the 1000 Non ABS only but the 1000 ABS and 1000F, nope!

No red in oz and that's the one I prefer.
When I went for the test ride, there was a red and black naked version in the showroom. When I asked the salesman about the red and black F, he said "yes they do come in those". Apparently there was no mention of red black at the launch, but it just "turned up" at the showroom.

The website clearly doesn't show red and black F though. Wish they would make it a bit clearer.

Mind you, I have a healthy dose of skepticism with these car and bike salemen. In my mind, they would say anything to get a deposit, but later on turn around to say something like"oh looks like Suzuki don't do red&black F's after all, we have a blue one in stock, do you mind:mad:?"
I was all for a red and black fairing but as mentioned they are not shown on the Aus website which BTW does not do the blue and grey bike justice, the blue shown on the website looks so much lighter than it really is and the grey looks plain but in the flesh looks awesome, i have the blue but honestly i would be happy with any of them but only with a fairing cause they are heaps faster :)
I have a Grey F. It looks so different in the flesh. So much better. They took **** pics of it.

So you guys from Australia, can anyone confirm that the red&black F is indeed available?
No red and black f for oz. only red in the naked. Red and black f is available os but for some unknown reason not for oz. if enough of us complain they may bring some in. I told suzuki and my dealer I would buy it in red but not the other colors. Don't know if they are listening? It's worth a try to let them know.

****, I knew my salesguy was bullshiting. Anyway I also like your idea of respraying certain panels. Shouldn't be too expensive and it would be unique!!
Consider getting the panels vinyl wrapped instead of painted. That way, if you decide it looks crap, it's a simple process to reverse with no damage.

Even Better!! Something like matt orange might go well with grey
I was out at my dealer here in NZ today and they had 2 x red and black F sitting there in crates. He did say something about the poor Aussies not getting any

Yep they are showing on the NZ suzuki web site too
Suzuki have just brought in a bunch of red and black units - Should be available this week some time
Hi All,
I was thinking about the F's sideways bird beak look. The thought occurred that it may be inspired by the Hyabusa Falcon bird that swooped down like a zero fighter plane out of the sun and grabbed the Honda Blackbirds. Better copy than the Suzuki RF900 (a 1990's flop of a GSXR1100 into a GSXS1000F idea) that was inspired by a stingray the designer saw at a beach.
