I'm not enthused by the dash display, then I saw the better effort on the GT version. Why didnt Suzuki wait and fit this better looking easier to read version on both models. Seems like they jumped the gun and put an inferior system on.

The Australian Suzuki GSX-S1000 NAKED launch (to the Press) is very close, and the bike will be available for delivery mid February 2022. Who pre -ordered one, with their $Au 1,000 deposit ?
$ Au 17290 ride away this article said (19.01.2022). Those Press bikes will in due course end up as Dealer Demo bikes, I expect as that is their normal fate.

At $17290 AUD (£9378) ride away, that is cheap you lucky lot. £11150 OTR here = $20556 AUD
Edit: oops missed a zero off aud price, corrected.

We are no longer the lucky country I can assure you. That would be about the only thing we get cheaper than most

14.9k OTD for me for the GT+ in america. (they gave me 500 off msrp, and another 250 off for military service) & he is getting me the trim plates for when I remove the panniers, because the Suzuki rep told me they come with covers, but we dont think so, but due to the Suzuki rep saying that, he said if the bike does not come with the pannier mount covers, they are comping them for me under Suzuki's misinformation. (they could be a hundred or two hundred bucks knowing Suzuki) look at the seat cowl, its like 170 bucks just for piece of plastic

Yes thats rip off Britain for you, the US cost of many things including a lot of prestige cars just translates straight from dollars to pounds sadly.

Can we assume that the UK has import Duty levied to protect the home grown Triumph brand from true competition ?

I read sometime ago that Suzuki Uk has consultations with the UK dealers on the prices of models and then with Suzuki Japan.
However having left the EU (hooray) we now have a trade deal with Japan which includes manufacturing. How it applies to bikes I don't know.
Triumph has three factories in Chonburi, Thailand, and one in Manaus, Brazil.
