Headlight adjustment.

Interesting one this.

I've had an enquiry from an owner saying the headlight is next to useless at night, especially with a pillion. Now before everyone jumps on the band wagon about suspension adjustment and weight etc, she's only 70kg/154lb in all her kit, pillion about the same, suspension adjusted. She's had the bike since last summer but did no night riding until this week.

She's telling me there's virtually no road illumination and the high beam is for low flying aircraft! I've not seen the bike yet, just wondering if others have had any issues in this regard? There have been batch/bike issues with other bikes leaving the factories with incorrectly adjusted lights in the past.

My money is currently on that being the issue.

Sorry but adjusting the lights is easier that posting about it on the internet.

The headlights on my 2022 F needed a bit of adjustment, which got them up to mediocre- didn't take long. The tiny lens headlights sure seem a bad idea- plenty of light forward but little into corners.

My old R6's lights were <way> out, it took probably a half dozen test rides to get them reasonable.

I've only had one motorcycle that had really good headlights, '06 Honda VFR800. Two low beams and two high beams lit up the road better than my truck.

This definitely seems to be the case. My headlights are all out of whack from the dealer, adjustment seems easy enough, I'm surprised it's not at least part of the PDI.

How are those Denali lights attached?
The F version allows both horizontal and vertical adjustment. I point them fairly high, not high-beam high although the new class of pickup trucks seems to love high-beams, fairly far to the side, and always keep both on.
Just set them down. Mine was pointed into sky too basically

literally just a screw in the back under the nose for both lights. Cake

I did it when was dark out I just turned it til it was on ground then drove around block then adjusted more
