Hi all, after 2 life changing test rides I put a deposit down on a red/black abs for the release date sometime in June.
The bike is quite simply the best thing I've ever ridden and I wish Suzuki made this bike 10 years ago. The thing that stood out for me was lack of windblast whilst riding at 70 mph and the handling is spot on.
So yeah, I'm super excited and cannot wait to pick it up.

Hi dekker, I couldn't budge him on price because of the price rise coming in September but I am getting some GSX S1000 clothing, a mug and tank pad.
And hopefully doing a deal on tail tidy, pillion cover and meter screen.
What colour are you going for?

I am going for the Blue. I tested one in Red (see my post elsewhere) which was my first choice, but was shocked at how dull it looked when out of the sun.
I was offered only £4000 for my GSR750 9mths old, 3200 miles, with loads of extras on, I need more than that!

I am surprised you found the red dull, yesterdays ride was in poor weather and even under the covered bike park out the back of the showroom 'my' bike still stood out from the other bikes with the exception of a Ducati that was parked there. Each to their own but I would like a white which would be better than that grey offering. I haven't actually seen the blue one yet. Is it similar to the moto gp gsx-r blue?
That's not a good trade in price, won't you get more private?

I am with you on the "White" with some blue trimmings perhaps ?
You will always get more selling private but I don't want the hassle.

I hear you on the hassle part but I find generally bikers tend to be a bit better than car buyers. I just had a look at sold bikes with only a couple of mods, older and more mileage going for at least 5k. Gotta be worth the hassle for over 1k?
I hope you get it sorted soon, the months wait is already killing me.

Re my post #4 above, a different dealer offered me £5000 for my GSR750 and I have placed my order with him. Delivery might be middle of June!

Welcome to the boards, life changing eh? As in its changed what you thought about nakeds? ;)
More in the way that I have never felt so comfortable riding a bike as much as this. Normally on a bike with new tyres I take it easy but on my 2nd test ride I had the pegs scraping on the 2nd roundabout I went round that's how relaxed and at ease I was.
Also filtering on this is really easy compared to previous bikes it's strange but it's almost like this bike was built just for me and it's also the first bike I've bought new because I just had to have one.
