So i fiited the Quickshifter today and can report that it is a fantastic bit of kit, more addictive than crack, i can see my mpg plummeting drastically now >:D

First remove seat and side panels

Next the side fairings had to come off in order to remove the tank and air box.
Removed these 2 fasteners -

Then pop these off

Carefully pop these out

Tease these out

And slide these tabs forwards

Remove these 2 bolts

And now carefully pull the plastic cover backwards and upwards

The rest was pretty straight forward, tank off, air box off. Then insert the HM wiring loom inbetween the coils and the coil plugs, neatly rout and secure the cables, attach the ground to a good part of the frame and connect the cable to the starin gauge on the shif rod. I mounted the inline display at the left side of the frame under the throttle cables.

Put everything back the way it came off, adjusted the gear lever height and went out to play. Not cheap but after having a factory fitted one on the Tuono I had to have one on this bike, this HM item is a far superior unit and is worth every penny for the grin and buzz alone, half to full throttle seamless up-shifts.............. priceless :D:D:D

Thinking about dropping a couple of hundred on the superlite.....
I was thinking the same, I'm sure the SS is a fantastic piece of kit but would I see the £300 extra benefit, compared to the lite on country roads?
In fact thinking what the extra cash could buy me means I've already made my decision, but I prefer someone else to try it out first and then I'll see.

Lee are you hiding your VIN number in the last picture?
If you are then you might want to edit the 4th pic mate.

And a couple of others...
- Cheers pal really didn't notice that.

Thanks. HM haven't bothered to reply to the same query.
What length shift rod did you use
?
- 55mm

55mm bar, custom length. Might be worth giving them a ring to make sure that all the strain gauge units are the same length. He advised me to measure my shift rod but not to include the threads in the total length, then said i'd need a 55mm rod to accommodate the Plus SS strain gauge.

Just fitted my HM Super Lite but although I've watched the videos etc. I can't seem to get it to work. The most obvious problem is that the engine runs really rough and the FI light comes on so naturally I've not ridden it. It's 9pm here so I'll wait to call them in the morning(if they're open on a Saturday) but thought I'd ask here in case anyone has any thoughts or suggestions. Thanks

I would go back and double check that you refitted all the airhoses, sensor plugs firmly and make sure all the plugs between the bike loom - QS loom and coil packs are firm and sound, as the QS just plugs into the existing loom it would seem strange that the QS unit is causing the issues you state. Fitting is quite straight forward but the dismantling and refitting of everything is a bit fiddly and its easy to overlook a connection especially the ones down the right hand side of the airbox. Also make sure your earth connection is good too.;);)

Thanks Lee. I'll start from scratch again today and see what happens. Yes earth is to the battery. The other thing that seemed odd is that the QS light was not coming on when doing the stationary test and moving the lever up or down. It did come on initially to show it was set to number 2. Will see what today brings....

Fit my HM quckshifter plus yesterday and took the bike out for a blat - what an amazing piece of kit! Install wasn't too difficult, the airbox came off a lot easier than I thought.

I originally thought HM had supplied the incorrect loom, but after a bit more reading worked out I was trying to interrupt the injector loom, instead of the coil packs loom.

Gear changes are smooth and hassle free, I've put the sensitivity around 85% and kill time at 60m/sec and that seems to be spot on.

Vexed

Ordered an Superlite with 50mm extension bar over 3 weeeks ago

First attempt they didn't send the 50mm bar with the order despite the order stating one to be included, Email sent..................:|

Second attempt they had only included 3 clockwise threaded bars so that the quickshifter wont fit into the furthest swivel joint from the gearbox. Each end is threaded in different directions so that the bar can be simple be turned and the distance between each joint increased or decreased. Another email sent........................:(

Starting to get really ****.:crying:

Hoping the problem was packed by a cretin and look forward to finally fitting next weekend
