I've not done it on a Sook, but have done a number of Yamahas (and the locks have been on the top yoke, so ive taken the whole lot off).

You need to either cut off or drill the old bolts out, as they are shear bolts and the heads with the hex on, snaps off when installed.

If you can get the lock and whatever it is bolted too (I cant remember - it isnt on the yoke though) and the lock is definitely going in the bin, off, then you can cut it from the side using a slotting disc (I use 0.8 or 1mm, not sure what you use in the states (40 thou?)) and then turn the bolts our with mole grips.

Drilling them out is doable but tends to be messier, and a greater risk of damage in my experience.
