Kawasaki is starting to build a supercharged 600cc motorcycle!! A 600cc supercharged from the factory will open another new chapter in motorcycling.
Estimated HP will be in the ball park of 160, and torque will be in the ball park of 80. That's more HP and TQ than our stock GSX-S1000! Ouch!!
I thought the mid-sized motorcycles like the 600 would be phased out due to the NEW controls (traction & HP) aiding rider abilities and safety on larger CC motorcycles.
Do think Suzuki and the other manufactures will follow Kawasaki by building their own supercharged models? I say yes, but not for long.
I bet a more affordable super fast factory supercharged motorcycle will get the government looking our way for sure. Watch the government start putting limits on HP/Power Adders/Aftermarket modifications/Top speed on all motorcycles, or implement some other controls/limits/fees.
I see good days ahead of us for electronic & mechanical advances but... I also see darker days coming our way too. Meaning, the government getting involved on controlling/limiting motorcycles and or its riders.
Just saying. I like the all of the new tech advances that are being sold with the new motorcycles, and the supercharger too. I'm not against any of it. I just see too many bad and un-responsible motorcycle riders that are making it bad for us good riders. Putting an affordable supercharged motorcycle in the wrong hands is a really really bad combination... which will result in an increase of bad attention towards our motorcycling community.
What is next? A twin turbo Honda Grom? Groms are cool, not hate.
"Hold on to your lug-nuts... we are all about to get an overhaul"!
