Go stand in front of one of those with an air horn. Blast it every time a vehicle goes by. Get enough people doing this and they'll have to deal with a zillion bogus tickets being contested that they'll have to take them out. Don't get caught though.

Texas legislature and Governor just passed/signed a law eliminating all red light 'ticket' cameras in the state. God Bless FREEDOM baby!
Thanks, Froggy. Just a heads-up, I believe I heard on the radio the other day there's a clause in the new law that allows existing red light camera contracts to run the length of the contract if they can't be cancelled.

Just saying I'm not sure I'd be thumbing my nose at every red light camera I saw from now on, lol (I live in Texas).

OldJackBob, thanks for the heads up. Just when you think "Big Brother" is getting pulled back out of your life, there is always some 'clause' that keeps him around. I wonder how long some of these contracts still have to go before they expire? No red light cameras here in the Hill Country so I'm good, but when I lived in the Denver area, they were all over the place. Created as many problems as they were supposed to solve. Just another 'money-maker' for the Socialists running the zoo there.

Looks like the brits need to have a revolution against their own government, I’m sorry for them!
[OT rant]

Question: How tyrannical will a government become?

Answer: Only just not quite as tyrannical as it would take to drive the people to revolution, because by definition the people will put up with anything less than that.

I live in a town that calls itself "Race City USA" Mooresville, NC. Home to over 100 race teams, mostly Nascar cars and trucks. The don't seem to mind loud vehicles, but I believe they should have a max Db level and enforce it. Can't tell you how annoying it is to hear some a-hole leaving for work at 5:30am with a super loud bike, car or truck. I am all for having some sound to a vehicle but I also respect the rights of others to not have their lives effected by what I do.

I actually like the volume of the stock exhaust. I wouldn't mind a little louder, but like Supercharger and oldjackbob, I also have to deal with the other side of the pipe's in my neighborhood. ... and some of the straight pipe Harley's just sound like obnoxiously loud, horribly irritating noise to me. I don't want to be that guy. ;)

I totally agree.
The M4 full system is just too loud for me, even if you leave the insert in. I then tried riding it w/o the insert and it was obnoxiously loud. Stupid loud. However, with the M4 headers and the Yoshi can, it's a little louder than stock, but sounds really good. If I put in the Yoshi insert, it's just as quiet as a stock system. Great for long hauls.

I was part of a study here in NY where we researched red-light ticketing systems (for a research project for a PhD project from a friend in a PhD program), and the most interesting thing that came out of the research was that 94% of municipalities that have added red light cameras have removed them, typically within 3 years.

Rochester NY added them, realized that the potential revenue wasn't worth the increased paperwork/appeals, and the uptick in accidents from people slamming on their brakes when the light went yellow at busy intersections. (the accident thing happens in almost every municipality with cameras...all they do is train people to panic brake in busy places).
