Hi All,

New member from Australia. I'm looking to buy a new bike and the GSXS1000 is at the top of the list, just waiting for it to finally be available in Australia.

I'm currently without a bike, I sold my Triumph Daytona 675 so that I could get a new bike and the waiting is a struggle! The Suzuki Motorcycles Australia website says its coming in July, so I'm hoping that's correct and that it's early July.

I'm very keen to take the GSXS1000 for a test ride and compare it to the Kawasaki Z1000 and the BMW S1000R.

And thanks for all the information everyone has already been posting on here, its been great for a read while I wait for the Australian release :)

Cheers,
Marty

To continue with the stereotypes....

I'm keen to get myself a new bike, the Kangaroo I ride to work has been playing up, doesn't like the cold mornings ;) haha

your cold is a heatwave for us brits.
What colour are you looking to get yours in?
We haven't actually had much of a winter yet, rarely dropping to single digits at the moment.

I'm liking the look of the red and black, but I'd like to see the blue in person before I decide.

I will catch [email protected] for this but the red looks kinda dull and dingy in all the pictures and videos. I have seen the blue in person and it's really nice.
I take it you'll be looking at a blue one then haha.

Personal preference for me is red and black, but that does come down to how it looks in person.

I've watched or read just about every review I can find, and the blue is way more prominent in those, however, I have watched a couple with the red and black, which looked quite nice in the sun.

I'm really hoping my dealer will have more than one colour on the floor so I can compare the blue and red, but I don't like my chances.

Yeah. I really wanted red until I saw some videos and it just looked kinda (here it comes) pink at some angles. I can never own a pink anything! Maybe a phobia but no pink vehicles for me. lol

I'm hoping it's as close to the promotional images as possible, if it's not, there's a good chance I'll end up with a blue one. I'm not a fan of the grey, to me, it looks quite dull and boring.

Hello :D

Like yourself, I'm waiting for the bikes to hit the showroom floors here - Ontario, Canada.

My dealer still hasn't any clue as to when, but he's to contact me as soon as one arrives!

Hope you see yours soon!!

Thanks! Same to you! It seems like such a long wait and the lack of information is painful :(

But...Its July 1st today, so maybe I'll get some good news soon :D

Trust me on this, it is no way pink. Not even in brilliant sunlight, it's actually a deep red. Similar to the suzuki press pictures the Blue looks like the old Rizla blue but in the flesh it's really dark.
The red Vstrom uses the same red as GSX-S

Suzuki press release said late September to early October for North America. The wait is killing me.
