Be careful, the GSXS is not a good bike for a new rider, it's too powerful.

Oh Bullshit! Pin that SOB wide open and hang on! You'll get used to it quicker that way. ha ha jk. If you are serious about being a new rider please take it easy. This bike is pretty docile at low RPMs but gets scary real quick above that. Plus if you have one of the herky jerky throttle units you can get yourself into trouble on rough roads
