Hi all

Its great to be here, im looking forward to engaging with people from all over the world that love the sexy new gixxer S-1000 . I will legally be able to ride one as of 2018 (me getting licence late + Australias strict licencing laws) so i look forward to seeing what that year model has to offer. Im saving every cent i can for my bikes, im sold on getting. Kawasaki Z-300 for a learner bike and i was looking around for what id buy next..........and along comes the S-1000! And i cant wait. So i hope its cool that i join even though im yet to buy one, i most definately will be buying one asap.

It will be a long wait unfortunately, but well worth it!! Ever since i decided i want to ride ive been infatuated with everything motorcycles and saving every cent i can, i cant wait to learn to ride and to buy my bike/s, i dare say it will be the most exciting time if my life, except for maybe when i joined the army.

Welcome SFG. Make sure you enjoy all the learning and no rush, there will be sweet bikes available for a long time to come. Btw, the new Kawa you're getting looks great...I learnt on a Yam DT125 lol....have fun and take it easy!!!

Its probably a bit silly of me to plan what bikes ill buy a few years ahead as there will be new models coming out before im licenced.

Im the kind of person that researches everything before i make a decision, ive spent the last few months looking at every bike i like the look of and that fits my physical restrictions (back injury/restricted movement, so no supersports).

Ill stay up to date with bike releases but it would take something pretty spectacular to change my mind. Before Suzuki announced the S-1000 my plan was a Z-300 then a Z-1000, but ive always liked Suzukis and was delighted to hear of the S-1000.

Welcome guy! You consider the KTM Dukes? The 390 would still be learner legal I believe...

I did consider it, but i hear it has a lot of power for the engine size and as im new to riding id like something a little more forgiving for my first bike.That and im a japanese bike fan.

Lol, i think ill be a bit small even on the z300 lol, im 6,2 and 100kg/220lbs.
