Hi all,

I'm Jimmy from Perth (Mundaring) WA. I'm just about to buy a 1000s as soon as I get the loot for the bike I've just sold.
Grey colour and looking at paying $15290 for it on the road, I've not negotiated hard yet. Any advice?

Hi Jimmy

Another Perth owner here.
I found McCulloch in flexible on pricing - I bought my 1000F for $15,800 inclusive on road costs and they wanted $15,000 for the naked. They also discounted accessories and did heel protectors free.

That's not a bad price around these parts, Jimmy. I got mine at Savage last week and paid about that.

Phew they are giving em away in Oz.
An "F" in the UK would cost $21694 AUD (around £10135) on the road according to my currency converter.
The USA prices seem cheaper as well, is Europe subsidising the rest of the world?

Thanks for the welcome. I've just sold a Harley Fat Bob, it was a great bike but lacked the performance I was used to before it. If I could keep two I would have kept it.
Anyway, I'll ride this 1000s again and try to nut it down to 15K flat.
Hope to see some of the WA riders on the road sometime.....in my mirrors!! : ))

It's a great bike but the grey is so bland .... have you seen the red n black one it's the business.
As to price that's a steal. Mine was $16000 with heated grips and race bobbins and tank protectors
when you buy it book into a ride day at Barbagello's with champions , I am there every ride day, and we will show the sports bikes a thing or two cheers

Got quoted $14,900 rideaway at one dealer and $15,000 ride away with free first service (~$200ish?) at another.

Not a direct comparison as these are QLD prices but hope it gives you a rough indication.

Welcome Jimmy,
Looks like anything around the $15k to 15.5K is the going rate. Pretty good pricing compared to most of the other countries (and some Aussie Dealers) I was originally hearing around the place.
I also agree, The Black and Red is beautiful (I might be a bit biased).

Stay upright

Afraid not Dekker I paid 300,000 Czk in June which converted to 8000 GBP for my naked with ABS and delivered to the door. Now that is a bargain in any ones books. Looks like Rip off Britain is subsidising the entire world not just the Southern Hemisphericals : - )

Got to love that exchange rate.

Just saying : - )

Dekker wouldn't want to spoil your weekend entirely but you can now get the GSXS FOR £7324 here now, that's nearly £2600 cheaper than UK prices.

Looks like we might be back to the grey import days, but only from the sensible countries that didn't join that crack pot Merkle in her Euro catastrophy.

Grey GSX S1000A

I just bought mine from McCulloch in February and it's awesome;
To me it looks elegant not bland but it's a personal call

^^^ Right on. I liked all the colors but seeing the blue in person tipped me over the edge. I could be happy with any color of the bike honestly.
