The bike has around 500 miles on it, in 5th gear and only 5th gear at about 3500-4000 rpm I get a constant "wah wah wah wah wah wah" sound with steady throttle.

I'll try to get a video of the sound if it comes out, but is this anything I should really be concerned about?

Just a thought but it might be your chain is a little slack after bedding in. An adjustment might be all you need. Cheers

Noticed the same noise last night in 5th around the same RPM.

Just short of 2000 miles myself. Chain is in spec.

Had a ninja 650 that sometimes did it in 3rd at about 6000 rpm.

Not too worried about it but did you figure out why?

mine has done that since day one. adjusted chain and no change. i usually just shift to sixth when it gets too annoying! its good to see its not just me

Same here have the noise in fifth gear not worried about it . I had a gsr750 it was worse
