Very few companies actually make synthetic oil themselves. I assume Motul does because of some of there history with making the first semi synthetic. I used to work at a mine where we did our own oil analysis. When you spend $400k on a r82L rebuild you want to find issues early. I think here in the states they told us once only 3 companies actually make synthetic oil. The rest buy it from them and put their own additive package in it. If you are interested in the difference between Mobil and Motul you can take a fresh sample from each and send to a company to analyze. Project Farm on youtube does this. Tempted to send in a bunch of motorcycle oil for him to test and see what he comes up with.
