Need some input guys.
Been using a 10 year old rear paddock stand on my MK1 Bandit that is well out of shape but never worried as bike was a mess but now need a new paddock stand.
Any suggestions?
Thinking R&G bobbins.

Some people hate them, but I'm a big fan of my Abba super bike stand.

Get the headstock one if you need to get 2 paddock stands.

I like the concept of the skylift stand but I wish they'd fit a bigger capacity hydraulic ram. Looks like it takes an hour to lift it 1 foot.
Abba, I've already got the adaptors for the GSXS (£20)
The gsx-s1000 Abba fittings are the same as for the B-King and possibly others. I didn't check mine before ordering and finished up with two sets the same, sold spare set on ebay.
I'm looking at these on eBay - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/311140999044 - but also considering the Abba with the extra rear wheel strap to clear the front wheel.
Any advice is welcome .
Andy.

I use the Abba stand with front wheel lift kit, it's not cheap but is a solid piece of kit and works really well. I know this will last me many years.

+1 for the Abba stand and extension to lift both wheels clear of the ground. Some photos of it with the GSX-S here: Confessions of an Ageing Motorcyclist: Look what Santa brought ........

I guess it also comes down to how much you want to do with your bike?

I have a rear stand that gets used very regularly, as it comes into play on pretty much any maintenance task. I also have a front head stand, that fits underneath the lower triple to lift off the front. I got this so I could remove the front wheel for tyre changes and to whip the forks out to have internals fitted and then serviced. AND THEN... I got an ABBA Superbike stand which I got as I was swapping out the rear shock on my previous bikes (I'd successfully done it with a tiedown attached to the rear subframe on an older bike and looping it over a beam in our old car port - A wee bit sketchy).

To summarise my rambling; light use I'd say pick any rear stand on the market and you'll be happy. If you like to do as much as you can with your motorcycle, the ABBA Superbike stand with extension to lift both wheels covers all the bases.

Thanks for the comments. I do keep coming back to the Abba stand but then the Warrior Spider one creeps in but at the moment no support for the GSX-S?

got mine off ebay, the black one, just the back one so far but they do also come front & back as a kit, well worth a try, they're so much cheaper than going to a bike store...
Just placed an order with Abba direct, super bike stand, front wheel lift and rear bobbin kit. Shopped around 'a bit' and found going direct was cheaper.
Now looking forward to getting it

There is no way I would ever go back to a paddock stand after using the abba superbike stand, abba skylift and bike tower lift. I always feel as though the bike is going to fall over when lifting it on the paddock stand, especially on uneven ground.
The superbike stand makes cleaning the bike a breeze

Received the Superbike Stand today.
Can't try it yet though, got to put my pooch to sleep later as she's now suffering with her cancer

The Abba stand looks pretty nice. Since it attaches at the swingarm pivot, the swingarm should hang loose, correct?
